What exactly does a grant entail?
A sedum roof grant is a financial assistance provided by the City of Eindhoven to encourage homeowners and businesses to install a green roof. This grant covers part of the cost of green roof construction, making it accessible to more people to green their roofs.
Conditions for the green roof subsidy in Eindhoven
Minimum area
The green roof must be at least 10 m² in size.
Grant amount
- Water retention capacity from 30L/m2 = €25 per m².
Maximum subsidy
- You can receive up to €25, per m2, with a maximum of up to €25,000 per grant application
Who is eligible?
- Individuals with a home within the built-up areas of Eindhoven
- Owners of the roof area for which subsidy is requested
Terms
- The roof must have been in place for 5 years.
- The grant applies only to work that took place as of 1-1-2019.
- You need pictures of the construction process.
- you maintain the result of the work for at least ten years.
- The green roof must buffer a minimum of 30 liters per m2 of water (All our green roof packages meet this requirement).

- For grants over €5000: you must then fill out the advance payment form.

No, the grant is only available for new green roofs that have not yet been installed. You must submit a quote and wait for approval before installing the green roof.
After delivery, you can store the sedum mats rolled up for up to two days in cold weather. In warm weather, a maximum of one day. It is important to store sedum mats in a cool, dry place, directly out of the sun. You can also temporarily unroll and water the mats if you can’t handle them right away.
